Happy 2nd Birthday Evan!
I can’t believe it’s been 2 years. I think every parent thinks that. It is crazy how something seems simultaneously soooo long and eye-blinking fast. We had a birthday party for Evan on Saturday. It was great weather, great friends, great food… you couldn’t have asked for anything better. We didn’t get too many photos taken because we were just more focused on enjoying the time and not being stuck behind a camera.
There’s nothing more that we can say that hasn’t already been said about you, Evy. You’re an amazing little boy, a joy to be around, and I don’t know how we lucked out so much. Thank you so much for the abundance of hugs and kisses that have come our way lately. I know you won’t be so kissy to your parents in the future so we are soaking it up like crazy. And thank you for taking almost 2 years until you learned the word “no.” Seriously, he only started telling us “no” like a week ago. Like I said, we’re lucky. <3
We got a bunch of balloons for his party and the next day they were all over the ground. He loved running through them and throwing them. At the end of the day though, that got pretty boring. So he decided to spice things up a bit the only way he knows how…
